Music Opportunities at St. Mark’s

Participate in St. Mark's vibrant music offerings!
Handbell Ringers Needed

The Handbell Choir is excited to resume on September 14 and is looking for additional ringers. Playing handbells is super fun and does not require previous experience, so consider giving it a try! Rehearsals generally take place the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 6:45–8 pm, September through May, downstairs in the Elders Room. Email Katherine kep5[at]cornell.edu if interested.

Do You Love To Sing?

The Chancel Choir, open to high school students and all adults, is accepting new singers of all voice parts. The group rehearses in the nave Thursdays from 7:30–9:30 pm. Contact jeff[at]stmarks.net for more info.

The Children’s Choir is also looking for participants (ages 5+; church membership not required). We’re excited to begin a new season with a choir retreat at St. Mark’s on Sat, Sept 10, including singing, games, pizza and ice cream. Regular rehearsals take place Sundays from 11–11:45 am downstairs in the Elders Room beginning September 18. Contact Judith judith[at]stmarks.net if you have a child who’s interested.

Piano and Voice Lessons

The Music Studio is once again offering piano and voice lessons to people of all ages and abilities. Lessons are private (one on one) and are available to all members of the community. Schedules and rates are set by each teacher. Anh Nguyen (anhpng[at]aol.com) and Sasha Beresovsky (avberesovsky[at]gmail.com) teach piano, and Diane Atherton (dianesvoicestudio[at]gmail.com) teaches voice. Visit stmarks.net/music for more information.
