“Life After Hate” Online Discussion Hosted by Hill Havurah

Feb 12, 2022

Hill Havurah’s Adult Programs Committee will present “Life After Hate”—A Discussion and Q&A Session with Former Members of Violent Far-Right Extremist Groups” on Tuesday, February 15 from 7:30-8:30 pm.

This is an opportunity to hear from former members of violent far-right extremist (VFRE) movements. These “Formers” (in their own parlance) have made a commitment “to interrupt violence committed in the name of ideological or religious beliefs.” From the Life After Hate Mission Statement: “Founded by former extremists, we are committed to helping people leave the violent far-right to connect with humanity and lead compassionate lives.”

During the evening, we will learn about risk factors that draw people into VFRE movements and two Formers will each tell their stories. During a Q&A session, attendees will have an opportunity to ask the speakers about their experiences and lessons learned.
